FIRST AUSTRALASIAN EXPLORATION
Your societies, the Australian Society of Exploration Geophysicists Ltd, the Australian Institute of Geoscientists Ltd and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia Ltd, have again joined to run the pre-eminent geoscience Conference held in Australia. We join together every eighteen months on a cycle around Australian capital cities to ensure our regions geoscientists have the opportunity to obtain the very best value technical updates that are able to be provided in this part of the world.
Your Joint Chairs, Mark Lackie and Max Williamson, wish to extend the warmest of welcoming invitations for you, your partner and your colleagues to attend this Conference from 18 to 21 February 2018 in Sydney at the brand new world class International Conference Centre in Darling Harbour.
The Conference and Exhibition will be home to the highest quality technical program and Exhibition that members will have grown accustomed to from our three organisations over the years and will follow on from the Adelaide Conference of August 2016. The Conference will also incorporate the Eastern Australia Basins Symposium normally managed by PESA and the rolling 18 months Conference of ASEG.
Work on the technical program is advanced and will allow for the normal plenary and five concurrent sessions that are features of our Conference. Invitations to Sponsors and paper/poster providers will be issued in the coming weeks and from our current feedback this Sydney Conference is going to be absolute world class in its coverage, the range of speakers and the Exhibitors. We are planning coverage over Australia, China, Far East Asia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.
All inquiries on the Technical Program, the Exhibition and all administrative matters should be made direct through Selina Moscatt at ICMS Australia Ltd in Sydney via the contact points covered below.
Please come to Sydney with us and network with your peers, enjoy the hospitality of a 24 hours a day international standard city, safe and secure from the world’s problems and see what Australia can deliver to our dynamic industry.
